Rachida El Idrissi

Rachida El Idrissi El Yacoubi, born in Taza, Morocco in 1951, is a passionate advocate for social justice and a dedicated community leader. After completing her primary and secondary education in Morocco, she moved to Belgium in 1971, where she pursued a diverse educational path, earning degrees in social work, hospital management, development cooperation, and psychosocial mental health. Rachida is also a certified Gestalt practitioner. In 1976, she founded the Centre Familial Belgo-Immigré (CFBI), a still-active organization that provides support, guidance, and advocacy for immigrant families integrating into Belgian society. As a co-founder of the Association des Femmes Marocaines in 1977, she fought against discrimination and promoted the empowerment of Moroccan women in both Morocco and Belgium. In 2006, she launched Seniors sans Frontières, an initiative to assist elderly immigrants. Throughout her life, Rachida has upheld the values of solidarity, respect, and cooperation, always striving to create a better world by addressing social issues and supporting marginalized communities.
